Please note that I will always try to post the best sign-up bonus, but you should also do your own research!
Cards:
- Gold Delta SkyMiles card by American Express
- Platinum Delta SkyMiles card by American Express
- Delta Reserve card by American Express
Last week, the bonuses for these three cards changed for the better. Generally, the Gold and Platinum cards over 30,000-35,000 points after spending $1,000 in 90 days and the Reserve grants you 10,000 MQMs (Medallion Qualifying Miles) after making a purchase. Let’s take a look at the current offers below the jump, available until November 9th:
NOTE: This isn’t all of the card benefits, but what I consider to be the most important ones!

So, what card do you get? It really depends on what you plan to use your card for!
If you’re an occasional flyer, you’ll probably want to stick with the Gold: the annual fee is waived the first year, you’ll earn enough for ~2 economy roundtrips, and you’ll have discounted access to the Delta SkyClubs.
If you’re more than an occasional flyer, you may want to upgrade to the Platinum: you’ll earn MQMs towards upgraded frequent flyer status, you’ll get a Domestic Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate when you renew your card, and you still get discounted SkyClub access.
If you’re more the “Up In the Air” type, the Reserve is probably more your style: you’ll get free lounge access every time you go (a savings of $50 per visit–go 9 times in a year and your annual fee has paid for the access!), you’ll earn even more MQMs towards upgraded status, and you’ll earn a Domestic First Class or Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate when you renew your card.
Like I said earlier, you have until November 9th to jump on these deals–I’m considering the Platinum for the MQMs and the statement credit, but we’ll see if I feel like forking over $195 for the annual fee!
