Just a quick PSA that we’re in the fourth quarter, and this is what your bonus categories are for the Chase Freedom and Discover it cards:

Chase Freedom:

With the Chase Freedom, you’re looking at 5% cash back at department stores, wholesale clubs, and drug stores. If you were hoping for Amazon, sorry to disappoint; however, there are rumors over on the r/churning subreddit that Amazon will appear in November as a surprise bonus category. One can hope!

Discover it:

The Discover it also has department stores, but limits wholesale clubs to only Sam’s Club. On the plus side, the it card has Amazon! And, as an added bonus, the Discover it doubles your cashback in the first year, so if you sign up now, you could potentially get 10% back for holiday shopping!

As a final note, the 5% bonus categories for both the Freedom and the it max out after you spend $1,500, for a maximum of $75 in cash back.
